Thank you for joining the website Statements-cancer.org. Initially it was created to accompany the international symposiums “Statements on head and neck cancer” organized every second year. Within these symposiums international renowned experts in surgical, medical and radiation oncology as well as basic and translational researchers are invited share their expertise on current themes in head and neck and related cancers.

The symposiums are organized in 15 discussion panels with different topics. Each panel has 4 participants and will be guided by a moderator. One panelist gives a short lecture introducing the topic. The participants are asked to assume a strong stance defending their arguments based on data collected in form of multi- or monocentric studies as well as evaluations in order to enable the audience to recognize the evidence based background.

So as to integrate the audience in the discussions as much as possible, we limit the number of participants in the symposiums on the one hand and open the discussion to a wide range of interested people in the internet forum on the other.

Therefore the complete videos of the symposiums are visible on the website.

This is one aim of the forum. The other aim is to give you the opportunity to open a new discussion by bringing in a topic of your own interest. You can do it like in other forums or blogs you are used to participate also by adding pictures and videos thereby livening up the discussions. ”Instructions” and our administrators will support you by creating your own discussion topic.

Because head and neck cancer is more an anatomic as a biological tumor entity this website should also be a crossplatform for diagnostic, therapeutic and translational topics on related cancers or cancer at all. Therefore the domain address is “statements-cancer.org”.

At last we want to point out that we want to integrate the hot discussion themes in the forum as topics for the next symposiums. In this way future symposiums are created by yourself. Therefore we need your active participation in the forum to select the themes being most in your interest.

We wish you exciting hours here on this website emphasizing that this site only is coming to life if you stimulate it with your topics of interest, your discussion, your creative impulses and your criticism. Now it is up to you to make it a brilliant forum.
